First off, I am excited and nervous that its happening, I mean where did the time go? I am trying to pack everything I would need and leave the things I won't. My biggest worry is getting my Water in and soreness. I have to be at the hospital by 730 am and my surgery is suppose to start at 930 am. I already had my gallbladder taken out but this feels like its on a whole other level. I just can't wait to see how this is going to change my life for the better!

So I had my surgery and got released today. It was as bad as I thought, the gas pain in my leg is awful! The doctor said he could only do the sleeve portion and couldn't do the reroute of the intestines, something about the instruments were bending. I had to spend two days in the hospital and I was going stir crazy. Right now i'm walking and I even showered today which felt great. So i'll see how everything goes.

Wow, so are they going to do another surgery later or that is that? Oh definitely everything feels great after a shower. Hope everything works out?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
