TammyLee, What Kaiser area are you with?

I'm looking forward to following your progress. :)

Ah Bakersfield, nice!

While part of me doesn't want to wait the three months to take the OPTIONS class I'm sure it provides some great educational information and really prepares us for our surgery and after. I'm working on my 10% presurgery loss now and so far so good.

Nice prizes you got!!

Congrats to you. I'm in northern CA/East Bay area and the requirements are much different. We don't have option classes to attend. There's a 2hr intro class and 4 1/2 hrs orientation. Once we meet with the surgeon, he or she will set your goal, which is 5%, the next appointment is made before leaving the office for psy eval. It seems that the process is much quicker. Every place is different. I wish you the best on your lifestyle journey.

Just a little advice from a Kaiser post-op: Don't wait around for them to call you! Call them! They drop the ball all the time. And when you are scheduling your surgery date with the Dr ask to be put on the cancellation list. You will definitely get bumped up much faster this way! Good luck everyone!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
