Sooo I just ate a egg white and grilled chicken with cheese. Maybe about 4 bites and some fresh fruit. My stomach literally said hell to the nawl to the nawl nawl nawl hell nawl.....it hasn't come back up or anything but it scared me soooo much. I'm about two weeks post op and on soft foods and these were soft as far as what my directions say but maybe it was the mix or how fast I ate it. Also are we ok to have sugar free lemonade from chic fila

That sounds like a lot of stuff your stomach can't handle at 2 weeks.

Slow down, you should be focused on healing right now.

Grilled chicken is one the of hardest to digest, for me still and I am almost 2 years out. That isn't a soft food.

I can't drink the lemonade at ChikFilA, the acid in it kills me.

Likely loaded with sugar too.

It isn't loaded with sugar, they sweeten it with Splenda which is basically rat poison, but Splenda isn't sugar.

I loved the diet lemonade pre-op, but post-op it burns my throat, maybe because I never have acid. Not sure.

ChikFilA is the best fast food option post-op, I eat there all the time. Just not at 2 weeks.

Ugh splenda.. the same garbage that was in the Glucerna they tried to force me on pre-op. I absolutely despise the taste of artificial sweeteners, though Stevia hasn't seemed so bad as of yet when I tasted it pre-op.

Regarding the acidic feeling, it just could be the type of drink. My wife had the same feeling when she'd have any sort of citrus tasting drink (Lemonade, Sprite, Orange juice, Smirnoff Ice cocktail, etc.).

Also, for the OP:

http://www.foxnews.com/health/2016/04/29/noisy-stomach-normal-or-unhealthy.html

Quote

A noisy abdomen does not necessarily mean you are hungry. The digestive system causes stomach sounds, known as Borborygmi, when air or Fluid is moving around the small and large intestines.

During a process called peristalsis, stomach muscles and the small intestine contract and move contents forward in the gastrointestinal tract.

“These sounds occur both when the stomach is full and when it is empty.” Dr. Shawn Khodadadian, a gastroenterologist in New York City, told FoxNews.com. “About two hours after your stomach empties, there is signaling from the brain for the digestive muscles and peristalsis to begin again. These contractions and vibrations of an empty stomach may make you hungry, and the growling may be louder in this case because your stomach and intestines are empty so the noise created is not muffled.”

People who swallow a lot of air, usually caused from eating too fast or talking while eating, may experience more rumblings than others.

Another common cause for a chattering stomach is poor digestion. Fructose and artificial sweeteners, which are often found in sugarless gum and diet sodas, contain sugar alcohols that can be difficult for intestines to absorb. People with a lactose intolerance or celiac disease are also more likely to have increased intestinal noise.

Although these noisy gurgling sounds can be uncomfortable or even embarrassing, they are generally a sign that your intestines are working well.

Grilled chicken wasn't on my approved list till 6 weeks. What does your protocol say what you should be eating right now? I was just transitioning to soft foods then and that took a week.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
