Have any males had a TT? or any work done? It is just hard to find much out there.

You might want to check out RealSelf. Just did a quick search for male tummy tuck… lots of results. Good luck!

I had a TT and a moob reduction done. Both were marginal in necessity in my case, but since i had a couple of hernias to repair, went ahead and combined the procedures. But you are right that there isn't a lot out there given that women are still the majority demographic for bariatric surgery and are probably an even bigger majority for plastics.

I am only 8 weeks+ Post-Op but I am researching International Plastic Surgeons (Mexico & Dominican Republic) and monitoring their Forums for Before and Afters. I don't know the percentage of males having PS but from doing searches it seems to be pretty low. I will be getting a Fleur-de-lis Abdominoplasty (Inverted T Tummy Tuck) with Lipo and Mons Pubis Lipo

Brazilian butt lift using the Fat that was Lipoed

I think my arms will be fine and I would do inner thigh but the results are very marginal 80% of the time. I plan on being very open about my whole Journey from the sleeve all the way through Plastic and beyond.

If you can swing it, my recommendation is to save your pennies and try to stay local for plastics if you possibly can. This has nothing at all to do with doctors in Mexico, Costa Rica or other countries vs. US, but rather the nature of the procedures and the relative risk for minor to moderate complications that may need some form of continued attention from the surgeon. Our WLS is fairly straightforward with a fairly small chance of some complication during the first couple of months and tapering off from there - most things that may happen will keep you in the hospital a few extra days. With plastics, there are a number of minor to moderate things that can happen during the healing phase in the first couple of months and possibly thereafter - incisions that don't quite heal properly or open again somewhere along the suture line, lingering drainage or seromas that form. A lot of things can be handled by selfies and email but others require a hands on approach with an office visit. These are things that happen more often when you have more extensive cutting. Most of these things fall into the inconvenience category but are usually handled as part of the basic surgical fee stateside. If you are hours away from the surgeon, you need to arrange for such treatment locally which can cut into your savings.

I had drainage into my scrotum (not an overly unusual complication of hernia repairs, which was part of my package, or other abdominal surgeries - those channels that our testicles dropped through when we were wee ones are still there and make a great passage for excess fluids, irrespective all the JP drains they install) which took months to resolve as it slowly drained, evolved into a hematoma which got tapped and drained a few times before finally getting fully absorbed. Yeah, had had triplets for a while - and I don't even own a pawn shop! Had I travelled for this, beyond the normal discomfort of flying a couple weeks after that extensive surgery, adding in carrying a grapefruit down there through all of that is not something I care to contemplate.

Basically it's a risk/reward decision that favors staying local more than the original WLS does, but the savings can still be worth the risk - something to factor into your calculus.

How is your recovery going and did you get the results that you wanted? Did they do anything to your pubic mound and love handles?

Recovery was not bad . Pain/uncomfortable for first day or two then just tired . Pubic area wasn't that bad but it looks better now with the skin tightening during Tummy Tuck. Very happy with results. Had Lipo of flanks/love handles as well. IMG_1364.JPG

John925 I see you had plastics within less than a year from your WLS. Did the surgeon try to convince you to wait to see if your weight stabilizes? I keep reading that you should wait at least a year or preferably up to two years to get plastics done. Also, if you don't mind my asking, but how much did it cost? And what part of the country are you from?

I'm also interested in the answer to this but I am one year out and my surgeon brought up skin removal and referred me to a plastic surgeon.

I'm getting my surgery done on September 8th. panniculectomy, Circumferential Abdominalplasty, and lower body lift. My doctor didn't have many male before and after photos. She said she doesn't work on a lot of men and then men she doesn't work on rarely consent to have their photos used.

Looks like I need people around to complete a 10K.  I tried to do one by myself this afternoon and I gave up at around the 7km mark.  Gonna try again on Friday, but I may have to look into joining a running club...

My Surgeon asked me a question the other day and i didn't give it a lot of thought at the time.
      He asked "do you tell"
we were talking about peoples reaction to seeing me since i lost such a large amount of me.
I answered that i do tell if they ask but that it seems most everyone is afraid to mention it if they haven't seen me in a while or they decided they already know the answer so they don't need the truth from me (we all know those types)
I have had exactly one family friend come right out and ask me how i lost so much weight this year and i told her i had Gastric Sleeve.
I am sure family has passed it around to other family (you have that type family don't you? or is it just me)
So that left me wondering "do you tell" and i dont mean right at surgery time. more like a year or so down the road do you say how or do you just say cut out the sugar and carbs and WAALAA
Its a real personal choice to open yourself up to that kind of criticism and we know all about how we took the "Easy" way and yada yada yada.
hope everyone is having a great week
