  5. I just got my first order of tea from Golden Moon tea. Their teas have real leaves and flowers, no tisanes. I'm excited to try them out, after I get back from having my surgery, next week. I'll have to check out done of the brands everyone's mentioned in this thread.

  10. Nine more days.... I just finished up all of my FMLA paperwork. I've lost 9 lbs. since my highest recorded weight. This whole process has been an experience. Apparently, my decision has gained some momentum amongst my circle of friends. I told one of my family of heart/ "adopted" family/ close friends about my decision to have VSG surgery in MX. (My surgeon performed the surgery in a mutual acquaintance of ours, with great results) After a few days, she announced out of the blue that she wanted to go with me and have VSG! Of course, the more, the merrier. Then, just last week, her sister decided to join us! So now, the three of us are headed to Tijuana, to have our surgeries on April 29th. [emoji1] It's like a girl's trip...except nobody gets to eat all of that yummy Mexican food, or drink tequila.

  16. I've seen some add unflavored protein to broth, but if you're still doing shakes as recommended by your surgeon, you shouldn't need to add it. Maybe post surgery you could.
  17. Have you tried broth or tomato soup? Something hot may give you a more satisfactory feeling, as your brain registers warmth with eating. A thermos of broth may do the trick for curbing hunger pangs, while at work. Best of luck!!!
  18. Thanks so much, for sharing that info.

  21. My VSG surgery will be done on April 30th, in MX. I've reached the point where I'm just ready to get it over with, and start my journey to better health.
  22. *raises hand* My surgery date is April 30th. I've been thinking about WLS for about a decade, and finally made the decision to take charge of my health. I'm excited and a bit anxious...but confident that I made the right choice.
