What is that one thing you look forward to so much, post op?

CLOTHING! I have always been heavy but most of my weight gain is more recent. I really look forward to fitting into some of my old clothes. I have donated a lot of smaller things but there are quite a few pieces I kept. I also had to buy some bigger clothing throughout the year to hold me over. I can't wait to donate it all! And although it's always a struggle in the clothing stores, I can not wait for the day I no longer need to find the "plus size" section (or should I say the few racks shoved in the corner with no signage).

I hate looking around a room when I enter to see if there is a chair that will hold me! Outside parties are THE WORST! With folding chairs!

My first post...

I am a far way from surgery (I'm in month 2 pre-application), but I am looking forward to fitting. LOL Simply always being able to fit into seats. Be it an airplane, the back seat of a car with a group of people, as mentioned above restaurant booths, office chairs, school style desk/chair combos, the list is endless...

Oh, people turning sideways when passing you in a hall (can't wait for that to stop). LOL.

I second wedding ring, I haven't been able to wear mine since I was pregnant and my Bub is almost 3 emoji30.png

I hear ya! I haven't worn mine for about 8 years now. Been married almost 10.

We should post a before and after pic of our hands with the rings.

Yup.

@violetisle I love vintage as well. I have a ton of sewing patterns from the 40's, unfortunately I have no waist. But hopefully by next year that can be remedied. AND my square dance outfits will look way better.

I want to be able to hike in the mtns easily and fit in booths as well.

Clothing for sure I'm waiting for insurance approval and refuse to buy any new clothes until then, I also have alot of clothes I will fit into once I loose the weight.

I'm looking forward to not feeling like I need to dull down my personality and who I am so I don't draw more attention to my being overweight! It'll also be nice to not dress like it's winter during summer!

The ease of being able to go to a restaurant, board a plane, sit outside at a friend's home and not be worrying excessively about the durability, size, and location of the seat! Plus, running after my grandkids with ease.

I am looking forward to crossing my legs comfortably!!!! Never been able to do it.. never been under a size 14.

Racquetball, ice skating, snowboarding.. I miss those things so much.

Clothing as well.. Canada's clothing sizes don't allow even remotely close to what they do in US stores unless you go to a fat shop.

Not worrying about if I'll fit on roller coasters, water slides, airplane seats or in booths. Being able to garden and not have my back hurt anymore. Yes and shopping for clothes in regular stores.

Not breaking things I sit on. I broke someones dining room bench once. That was awesome. And by awesome, I mean terribly embarassing. Also- we've managed to break two boxsprings this year alone. I'm sick of buying new boxsprings.
