Had bypass 5 hours ago, and I feel great! Everyone has been so nice throughout the whole day! I'm sore, and I have pain in my chest from gas, I'm still a little dizzy, and so so thirsty, but I'm so happy to be on the other side of this process.

I was so nervous this morning, and reconsidering the surgery last night as i mourned never being able to eat 3lbs of food in one sitting again.

But this morning, I made up my mind to smile and be friendly to everyone. And that same attitude was returned ten fold!

It couldn't have gone better, and to anyone having the same worries and reconsiderations, don't stress. This is a rebirth to a new life!

Looking forward to starting my walks and getting my liquids in an hour or so.

Good luck to everyone!

What a great attitude! My surgery was last week, and I was definitely NOT feeling as happy and excited as you in the first few hours, lol. I'm sure with your positive outlook, you will do great on your journey!

You're right, Meltsintowonder, not everyone has a smooth surgery, those were the experiences that kept me up at night. [emoji21]

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
