Recommended Posts

When switched to mushy diet. When were you able to eat 4 ounces of food? I was switched to mushy diet last week, I cannot eat more than 1 ounce at once.

How far out are you? Some people can only take a couple of bites and start to feel full, but i was able to eat 3-4oz when i started soft foods at 2weeks. remember to eat slow and i still chew everything pretty much to a puree consistency at 6 wks out

How much have you lost in the past 3 weeks?

Not something impressive, 10 pounds only

Never deflect your loss as "not impressive." That is 10 pounds more than last month. So, congrats on the loss so far! emoji3.pngemoji1474.png

When I read people losing 10 pounds a week and look at my numbers, it makes me kinda sad. However, every is different, it might mean that my hair won't fall out )

Exactly! A healthy weight loss without losing muscle mass and hair is a win-win situation. You will have high months and very low months in regards to scale numbers. But, ensure you measure your body monthly to see the difference in inches.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
