Plateaus are no fun. If you describe your food/exercise routine, we might be able to help more.

Philosophically ;), you think weight loss is formulaic. But what each person needs can vary widely.

I have plateau several times but I feel great. Strength training 4/week only 30 min cardio 4/week either hike or walk. It's frustrating at times but keep at it!

I have my Protein in the morning like a shake or egg scrambled, I eat my tuna with a roll, diet tea or 7-up, or a MP3. I do get sweet cravings and eat some Cookies or a piece of candy. For some reason I don't feel full anymore, I feel like my sleeve was not done right. I'm just a year out and all I have list is 35lbs. Please help. Starting tomorrow on the reset

It's normal to be able to fit more in at a year postop. This is why you have to pay attention to what goes on your plate, not just how much.

It's still about calories, and some foods have a lot of calories and not much satiety (i.e. cookies).

Some of us can't handle grains. Since you are getting sweet cravings, that is one of the first things to cut out (grains.. especially white flour). Put your tuna on a bed of lettuce instead of bread. Or try eating just the tuna with a little bit of dressing. Solid Protein by itself is more filling.

Eat out of little 8oz bowls. That will help limit your portion sizes.

Beans are super filling. One egg with a cup of beans and some salsa is da bomb...

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
