GOT SLEEVED? My journey begins 02/20/17

Recommended Posts

Hello World,

I am Keahsha Harris a Mother of one 5 year old girl, student obtaining my BS in Healthcare Management, a licensed nail tech BASICALLY a jack of all trades.I've contemplated about getting VSG for many years and finally decided last year this was the surgery for me. I've always been overweight starting at the tender age of 7 and I've tried many diets workout programs nutritional guidance and even played sports and I always ended up the heaviest of most. So to make a long story short I researched and asked many questions for approx. 6 years. I'm receiving my surgery abroad in Tijuana Mexico I'm going through Tijuana Bariatrics and my Surgeon is Fernando. Garcia (Don't worry I've spoke with clients that used him they gave the thumbs up). I just hate so many people are so judgmental and do not understand the struggle of being overweight. I want to prove them wrong not only wanting this so I can be healthy but; for a overall better life. I'm 5'2 HW:246.8 CW:225.0 GW: 130. I want to hear from you guys and hear the encouraging stories to settle my fears. Wish me the best!!!!

Congratulations on taking the step to a better and HEALTHIER you! Many people are judgmental because of ignorance. They do not know about WLS. Until they educate themselves, we who have done our homework have to deal with them, unfortunately. I hope and wish you all the best and many blessings on your journey hon.

Good luck you are getting a great tool to help with your weight loss. Anxiety leading up to it is understandable if you feel it but everything will be great after. Keep us posted.

Hope you're feeling good! Can't wait to hear about your journey. I'll be getting sleeved sometime between April and June. I'll find out soon!
WLS has become so common I haven't found many people too judgmental.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
