My surgery isn't until late June and I'm already struggling to get started losing weight- which is one of the reasons I'm doing this. Any advice to push me through this so I can get 25lbs off before surgery?

Congrats on your surgery date! You may not want to hear it but I would suggest starting the liver reduction diet early. Meaning replacing Breakfast and lunch with Protein shakes. It will be hard but you can do it! Plus they have so many awesome varieties in the Atkins brand and premier is good too. All the best!

That is the best way to go really. I had to do a 6 month diet. Right away they had me replace Breakfast with a Protein Shake. I was very nervous cause i was going on a cruise. I did replace breakfast with my Protein shake and I lost 7 pound just by doing that. Including going on vacation. The next month they had me replace breakfast and lunch with a protein shake. I lost 30 pounds in 6 months. I think it has also made the liver shrinking diet easier. I am on day 5 of my liver shrinking diet and so far it hasn't been as bad as I thought it was going to be.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
