I'm starting tomorrow. I'll follow up later. But I wouldn't worry. You been on liquids only for a bit. I think you'll be ok.

Similar situation; I gained like 2 lbs. I am not concerned as I was on liquid plus I figured it might be a little Constipation.

I did, but expected it. I lost muscle when I was on liquids due to struggling with getting in my Protein. I mostly saw the muscle loss in my legs. So I knew when I started taking in more solids and protien, my body was going to "re-calculate." Rebuilding muscle and burning fat. Lost 35 since pre-op... surgery date Dec. 15 2016. I'm going to make this work for me, because I will never do this again. I hated my first 4 weeks post-op. My stomach was unpredictable and I fought the whole time not to throw up. Prior to surgery I spent roughly 20 years with two obstructions in my intestines that would make me violently throw up after my food would back up ( for up to eight hours.) Long story made short..... In 2015 I had surgery (10 hrs) that corrected those issues, except for gerd. So I had the sleeve done to correct the gerd. My surgeon reassured me that the Doctors at the Nicholson Clinic realized what was being done wrong that was causing some people that got the "sleeve" to get gerd. He promised me that they wouldn't make that mistake on me. It worked!???? thank God! Off all meds to date! I'm happy I did it, but more glad that all that suffering is over!

I did for sure. I started on puréed foods last Thursday, and I also got a couple of bags of fluids at the hospital for dehydration. I knew not to weigh myself for a few days after that because the fluids will make the scale go up, but I thought it would be safe to weigh myself over the weekend. I am up 5 pounds from what I was last Thursday, although I have not weighed myself since. I also have not had a bowel movement in two weeks, though I do not feel constipated at all.

I have been on pu reed food since Jan 10. Surgery date 12-27 and haven't really gained, but haven't lost any this last week. Kind of frustrating, but i am sure it will all work out. Everyone's body is different.

3 weeks post op - sleeved 1/12/17. Completed one week on purée. Been the same weight or losing, until today gained 2 pounds. I know it's not a catastrophe, but disappointed!!!

Sleeved on January 23 at 290.5. I have a Withings scale that automatically syncs to MyFitnessPal, so I get on the scale every morning just to be able to have the data available. Two days ago I was at 274.2, so 16 lbs in 10 days. I started mushy/soft foods this week and today I'm at 275.4, so it seems like like something that happens as the body continues to recalibrate. Hopefully like everyone else has commented, it's just a temporary thing and the weight will keep coming off soon.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
