January 2017 Sleevers with Dr. Fernando Garcia

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I am new here and would really love some feedback from sleevers that had the procedure in Tijuana with Dr Garcia. I am a single mother of 4 wonderful children, which makes me nervous as heck if anything was to go wrong. I am scheduled for January 28th!! I have all kind if emotions and questions. Any feedback would help!!

I had the VSG with him in August of 2015 and had a very positive experience, no complications, and have exceeded my goals. Best wishes to you!

Slippers, comfy for the hospital....I wore a light "house coat" that zipped up the front...legging or soft pants for the hotel days and a couple of shirts. Toiletries that you might want ie toothbrush. Something for entertainment. Dry mouth spray was a G-d send. Download Google Translate for while you are there if you don't speak Spanish. Night nurses aren't fluent but will get someone who is if they can't communicate.

Got almost everything on the list except the dry mouth spray, I never thought of that! Thanks for the advice. I started my pre-op diet today and so far, so good!

Has anyone gone to/ plan to go to Dr Vazquez, his partner? I picked him to save a few bucks but I can't find any reviews on him directly & I'm getting a little nervous. Should I switch to Garcia?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
