How much are you walking? I had really bad shoulder pains too but not for more than 48 hours. But I walked every other hour. It really helped me when my husband rubbed my shoulders.

Whoah like..... I was complaining of gas for a couple weeks!

I call the surgical team & the nurse had to finally tell me to get some otc gas medicine. I wondered why they just didn't tell me that from jump .....maybe they need our stomach to heal a bit to tolerate gas meds i guess *shruggs shoulders*

How long was it before your gas pains went away? I'm 4 days out and gas pains are all in my shoulders and chest but mostly shoulders.

I suggest you get someone to massage you, thats what i had to do. Also do alot of walking until you feel the gas move.

The gas can move any direction. Gas x helped but walking helped more.

I had my sleeve done on the 4th as well and I am still battling gas pains as well.

I am walking constantly; doc told me yesterday to use tums to help relieve the gas but it isn't as great as Gas X from what I have read. I had acid reflux before surgery and was told to keep taking the nexium after surgery to help with the reflux and burning.

It was 3 days before Christmas and all my elves were at work so I had to go to the mall and do a lot of walking. I did rest a lot while walking the stores but it served me better than laying in bed drinking broth. Got rid of all that nitrous oxide quickly. I never took my hydrocodone so I was good on the road. Pat your shoulders or where ever the gas is

Eat Gas X strips like Candy! I set my phone alarm and walked 10 minutes every house the first few days. I even set it for every two hours during the night! Helps with gas and blood clots!

GasX is completely useless for surgery gas. That gas is. It in your GI tract, it is in your chest cavity. Walk and move as much as possible.

The gas hitting my shoulder was the most painful thing about this whole process. Hurt like hell and nothing helps it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
