December sleevers

Recommended Posts

Expect some pain the first few days. They don't really explain that well. But after a week or less you turn the corner. Walking helps. Also get a support or restraint belt for your stomach.

12/19 here! See if the hospital will give you nausea and pain meds for the ride home instead of waiting for the pharmacy in your neighborhood. Riding in the car home was rough for me. All the bouncing. I didn't have one, but a support belt may be very helpful for the ride as well. Good luck!

Stop and walk frequently! You don't want a blood clot!

The bumps in the road are horrible so take a pillow that you can have pressed against your belly it will help some. Please make frequent stops to walk so no clots form.

Mine was 12/21, my doctor gave me a nerve block that lasted 72 hours and that was wonderful. It made the 1 hour ride home ok and it allowed me to do a lot of walking. I can tell you that when it wears off it is like night and day now I move like a sloth ????. My doctor also had me bring all my meds with me so that he knew I had everything I needed for the next few weeks!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
