Hi

I actually started this Bariatric Surgery in the beginning of 2013. I had the lap band put in July 2013.

My HW ever was 255. My LW after the band was 225, and because I had problems with them getting me in the Green (Right) Zone. I couldn't lose anymore and as of the beginning of 2016 I was at my highest post Lap Band in 2013 which was 244.4. Considering to have a revision, I called my insurance company who said the maximum number of Bariatric Surgeries was 2, I decided to start the Process. I had my revision done in one day on Nov 14, 2016, the day after my 50th Birthday, at which time I was down to 231. Also, I actually almost backed out the day of surgery, but so glad I didn't. As of today Dec 17, 2016 I'm down to 218.8, AND I'M DETERMINED WITH THE HELP OF GOD TO REACH MY GOAL.

A suggestion for anyone considering any of these surgeries for the first time or revision, PLEASE PRAY AND ASK GOD, WHICH I DID EACH TIME, AND HE GAVE ME THE OK EACH TIME.

SO HERE I AM TODAY.

Ps I'd recommend the Sleeve Over The Band. Yes the band can be reversed and said to be the safest, but if you don't get the Right Fill, you'll probably end up like me losing then gaining some back and headed back in the wrong direction overall.

Awesome for you! I also had the band put in april of 2013 and went from 313 to 198. However, i started to have complications and it slipped and it came out this past may. This November i had the sleeve done... and like you i would recommend the sleeve over the band to anyone... because like you said it can be reversed.. but i have come to know so many with long term issues due to complications. Best of luck to you in your journey,

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
