  3. Thank you! That's what I've been doing. It's difficult to walk though. It feels like my stomach is pulling and it's very tender. Plus the gas is still getting to me and hurting my chest. I have to walk hunched over and hold my stomach when I walk. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Did the hospital give you the Bari bear? its a stuffed animal mine gave us so we can put over our stomach when we cough .. getup.. and even walk .. if not that is a okay.. use a firm pillow! No they didn't, I've just been using a regular pillow for that. That's such a cute idea though! I'm walking every 2-4 hours a few laps around the house. I'm seeing that other people are already out shopping and feel fine again by day 5 and I'm not to that point yet at all so it sort of worried me. I know we all heal differently but... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Everyone is different! People i work with came back after 2 weeks and i'm over here thinking.." should i ask the doctor for another week?" I had my surgery on a Monday and went to run errands with my mom on that Saturday.. i was beat halfway through. Just do what you can and you will see this pain will go away.I couldn't imagine getting in the car and going somewhere right now. My stomach is way too sensitive. Good luck on your journey!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Thanks! You as well.. we are friends on IG so i'll catch ya over there!Oh ok! What's your username on there? 6. Awesome for you! I also had the band put in april of 2013 and went from 313 to 198. However, i started to have complications and it slipped and it came out this past may. This November i had the sleeve done... and like you i would recommend the sleeve over the band to anyone... because like you said it can be reversed.. but i have come to know so many with long term issues due to complications. Best of luck to you in your journey,

  9. wish you a smooth and speedy recovery! Just remember to walk and sip , walk and sip. That is what they drill into our heads at the classes my Surgeons group offers.
  10. Tylenol is safe, everything else is a nsaid and we are not allowed to have them , but headaches happen when you detox from one extreme to another. I agree with the black coffee try adding a little cinnamon if it is to bitter for you. Best of luck on tuesday!
  11. During my last month with the band , i didn't have any fluid in and occasionally if i ate to fast i would feel stuck. If this is an everyday occurrence for you i would ask your doctor to check it .. you could have possibly slipped .. i woke up one morning and couldn't even keep down water. The band came out that day. I was recently sleeved Nov 28th and i haven't felt that stuck feeling yet. I feel a bit more restriction due to the scar the band left behind but that it is.

  19. Will do!. I agree waiting is the worst but it lets me go back to work and get my things in order before the revision
  20. So i hate waiting. I had my band removal on may 23rd due to slippage. June 8th i had my follow up appt and we discussed options. First the doctor wants me to see the dietician so my weight doesn't go through the roof since my eating habits and portion sizes have changed some since the removal. Okay fine except that will be a month from now.. and then i make an appt with the doctor for revision. Waiting.. I hate it.. of course it makes me upset with myself that i didn't just opt for the sleeve to begin with. So now i have a choice .. do i go with my original doctor who did the band or the doctor who removed it.. They are in the same group and i feel comfortable with them both .. decisions decisions.

  22. Find single meet and greets in your area or use a different dating site... you never know who you will find and where it will happen.
  23. I do not see anything wrong with that list. It is ashame that we can't post anything positive about us or our lives , be it regarding wls or non wls .. and not be told we are wrong for doing so.. that it is bragging and unfair to everyone else... Please do not let the negative nancy's who get offended by every little thing stop you from sharing with us about who you are. Cyber bullies and i am tired of them.. the IG community just lost a great source of motivation for both wls and non wls due to them and it is sad. #istandwithjoey So please do not ever apologize for letting us know who Lipstick lady truly is other then a wls patient. Keep the lists coming #istandforlipsticklady !!!
  24. I get irritated at the ones who just walk out in front of you and walk SUPER slow and they don't use a crosswalk .. I didn't know anyone could walk that slow! Or if you follow behind someone into the drive of a complex and they stop to talk to someone who had been walking. There is no way to go around you! Move off to the side and let others pass through. Or you see a driving sitting there and then as soon as you're close to them.. they pull out in front of you and go slow. Get a move on people!
