And I worried about food...shoulda worried about NOT falling

Recommended Posts

On thanksgiving...Went into my sisters house with her split entry. Her dog was on the steps I thought she'd escape. So I tried to turn quickly and felt the "slow motion" fall begin. I ended up on my left side. Banged my knee shoulder and ribs on the top of the step.

Last night sleeping was awful. Very sensitive to the touch. Today I'm sore all over!

After that fall...choosing food wisely was the least of my problems!!!

Grace and elegance...not my strong suits!

Sorry u don't feel well. Hope nothing is seriously injured. Take Advil if u can for pain and use ice. Maybe sleep in a recliner if u can. Elevate, ice, Advil or Tylenol and a recliner. Feel better. If not or big bruising go get seen. Take care.

So sorry that happened!! But I have to say....you seem to have taken it in stride, and did I even detect a slight bit of humorous irony in your post, lol? True, we didn't get "turn me into a graceful gazelle" surgery....just WLS <tee hee> Hope you heal quickly....and maybe stay away from your sister's house, lol.

I think my whole family was so concerned about how to deal with me and the whole food thing...so it was a real ice breaker for the day. when I got upstairs (finally) they joked about how they'd already finished dinner.

For about 5 seconds I considered telling them to just bring me a small piece of turkey to the landing.

Maybe I can take dance lessons and get some grace after a few more pounds are gone!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
