Sharp, grabbing pain several weeks post-surgically

Recommended Posts

So here's something I didn't read about anywhere prior to surgery. I'm about 10 weeks post-op. Two weeks ago I started getting a sharp, grabbing/pinching pain in my left, lower belly when I bent over or sat up from a laying position. It was not every time, I couldn't make the pain happen on purpose, it didn't hurt to the touch, and it wasn't near one of the incision sights. I saw the surgeon, she had no ideas. Then it went away.

Then on this past Friday, I started getting the exact same pain when bending over, but his time it's on the right near my lowest rib.

I've been exercising, but I haven't felt any pain while doing it.

The pain is not so bad or frequent that I feel moved to do anything about it immediately. I see my surgeon for my 12 week follow up soon.

Meantime, anyone have any insights or experience with this?

I experience pain in various locations in my abdominal area. I increase my Fiber when it happens an generally feel relief the next day. For me it is intestinal pain.

Had lapband surgery 10/12/16

I'd be curious to know whether anyone has any insight, as I have had the same pain under my right rib for a while now (& I haven't yet had surgery). My best guess is a hernia. :/ I plan to ask my surgeon at my consultation In a couple of weeks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
