Ok I had my gastric sleeve op on sep29. But I had already been having diarrhea for about a week before this. My surgeon did labs that came back neg for anything causing the diarrhea so he performed the surgery. I've gone to my dr. Who also ordered labs that also came back negative. I'm going back today because it's really annoying already. I've tried otc anti-diarrheal meds, tried eating things to bulk up but nothing holds. As soon as I eat or drink I'm on the toilet. Even when I don't consume anything I have to go and sometimes it's minutes apart. Any advice, suggestions, similar stories???

I had a lot of it after my sleeve in August. It did get better. It still happens once in a while, but I get constipated as well. I had stomach issues before the sleeve though , so it is not so unusual for me.

Thank you for your replies. Yes they've done a culture. I wouldn't be so concerned but I had this issue prior to my surgery. I've been eating some yogurt and I drink the Protein shakes once in a while.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
