First puree meal, ricotta cheese bake

Recommended Posts

Seriously???? People think will be loosing weight after eating all those calories??? That's probably one day's worth of my allowed calories.

Well as I put in an earlier post it's 119 calories/serving. Too bad to hear that you're not allowed more than that in a day.

Which of those suggestions is a day's worth of calories? And how many calories are you being recommended?? Wow!

@@magicianbeautician74 Sorry, I misunderstood your post. Seriously.. some people only come around to harass others.

I like that recipe very much. Another favorite of mine is the Cauliflower pizza. I like the crock pot meals a lot too (there is an awesome thread going on that currently) but all my recipes are so basic I don't share those but I am following the thread.

Where did you find cauliflower pizza?

Several recipes but this one is the one I use. Enjoy! http://barixclinics.com/blog/recipe-cauliflower-pizza/

This was delicious! I changed it up with skim milk ricotta and lowfat cheese but it was still amazing! I had to make absolutely sure my servings were no more than 2 oz, though, since it would be so easy to go overboard!

First puree meal and it's AWESOME. I feel like a human being again. For anyone who hasn't seen this recipe:

Shelly's Ricotta Bake

8 oz of Ricotta cheese

1/2 cup grated Parmesan

1 large Egg, beaten

1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning

salt & pepper to taste

1/2 cup Marinara Sauce

1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese

Mix ricotta cheese, parmesan, beaten egg, seasonings together and place in a oven proof dish. Pour marinara on top and top with mozzarella cheese. Bake it in the oven @ 450 for about 20-25 minutes (best) or nuke it till hot and bubbly. I usually made it first in the oven and heated the leftovers in the microwave.

Eating it very slow and only having 1/8 of the pan (it's a tiny pan, about 1/4 of a normal glass baking pan) for now, hopefully it goes okay!

For those on liquid, soon you will feel much better, just a few bites and my spirits are way up!

Thanks for the recipe. I get to try it th is week!

Mine came out super thin, more like pudding. I might try again, and add some grated zucchini with the Water squeezed out for added veggies.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
