Piggybacking on a peeing question

Recommended Posts

Someone wrote about taking in tons of fluids pretty close to post-op and how they aren't peeing a ton. Got me thinking. I'm about 3.5 weeks out and also not "going" that often, whereas before I had to go all the time. I've been hitting all my Fluid and Protein goals within the first week no problem, and when I do go it's a normal color, not dark or brownish.

Just curious if there is a "normal" range people remembered when you start having to go again? (As I sip my 24 oz Water here, about to head out for a walk and wondering if I'll have to "go" mid trip!)

I noticed the same thing happening with me. My nutritionist said that it might be that I am strictly drinking Water now where in the past I had carbinated drinks and artificially flavored drinks which cause irritation in the bladder and more frequent urination.

I had mentioned it in my post, but it resolved the 2 bad day after surgery. Like others mentioned I think it was all the pain medicine in me. Today is my 3rd day out and I'm just very sore and slow going.

I've been good about hitting my Water goals, and I'm drinking about the same or a little bit less than I did pre surgery. I do think I'm going less frequently than I did before but also my urine is darker than pre surgery. I can't figure out why! I'm definitely getting my Water in, I shouldn't be dehydrated.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
