I thought the carbs were high because I couldn't have that many on my diabetic diet. I've been told by the nut to have 5 a day, do you think I could cut down the shakes? I only have till Thursday so it would be for a couple days only

What's your starting weight and how many calories are the shakes?

Agree way too many carbs. A lot of us are carb resistant. Check the sodium on the old shakes too. Could also be retaining Water.

Starting weight is 304 and today it was 305.4 after 6 days of no food and only shakes, Water and crystal lite. 170 calories 16g Protein and 21 g carbs. I have 5 of these a day

This math is not adding up. If that's all you've had then you have lost weight and the scale isn't reflecting it for some reason. Maybe period coming, maybe you're retaining Water? Did you weigh early in the morning? Even if you're having that many carbs/day you have still lost weight. Was it on the same scale? I would say all you can do is stick to it and I'd expect to see a drop at some point. Weight is weird like that, it fluctuates.

In my last class they talked about people not loosing and not getting surgery. I'm so scared I won't get my surgery. I have worked at this just like I was supposed to. I walk and then this. I've wanted this for so long and I feel like it's being taken away.

I'm going to stick it out. I want this surgery too much to be at this point and give up. It's discouraging when I don't see results though.

To be honest this is the only diet I haven't cheated on

Retaining Water... I didn't think of this until I reread your post ella37, I ran out of my hydrochlorothiazide which is my Water pill! We use express scripts and I should get them in the mail tomorrow. I haven't had them since friday. Boy I hope this is the reason and I get them tomorrow

I mean if you don't lose will they give you more time or is it just over?

If it's really do or die time I guess all you can do is decrease your shake intake but that seems crazy to me. At 304 there's just no way you gained on this plan. I would assume this is a glitch in the scale but if this is your one shot then I guess do whatever you can.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.
