My surgeon said sleevers,at 6 weeks post op can take almost any over the counter cold meds . Just have to be careful with pills. Make sure u cut anything big into small pieces....try to use liquid remedies first...such as theraflu...alka selter...as these can be counted toward ur daily liquid goal as well!!

I have had the crud since Wednesday, and have been taking over the counter flu and cold medication, but if you are unsure talk to your team. there's no information about how far out from surgery you are or anything.

the biggest problem for me has been staying hydrated. a couple of times I have been afraid I might need IV fluids, but I managed to chug down enough to keep me going. the hubs has been keeping a close watch on me.

I hate missing work for not fun things BOO. Hope you feel better right quick.

I'm 6 days out and am flirting with a cold - hurts so much to cough. Luckily it's mostly stayed away, but I'm not doing my usual battle of Vitamin c overdose, chicken noodle Soup, mucinex. Hope we all feel better soon!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
