I cannot imagine that diet. I know you are strugglling and I hope you learn new foods and ways to eat. Where do you live, US? Some people in other countries don't have our foods. Your surgeon should have given you a diet plan. Your settings does not show your surgery date and it is helpful for us to know. There are so many Veterans here who have great knowledge. Good luck!

If you recently had surgery, can you focus on soft foods like cottage cheese, Protein Shakes, scrambled eggs? I hope you have someone to help you because this can be stressful. I wish you a great outcome and we are here to help you.

Call your doctor, make an appt w nutritionist, and explain to them that you need guidance and need them to give you a few sample menus. If you have a sample menu and work from that for a few days that will help you understand how to eat. I'd also recommend reading a book on your surgery type (sold on Amazon), and pay special attention to the post surgery nutrition chapters.

What you described does not sound right, but more importantly it sounds like you need some one on one instruction on this from a professional like a nutritionist. You cannot get what you need from asking folks on a message board....you need more assistance and we can't responsibly help you.

Did you have any post op nutrition classes at your surgeon's?

I am sorry if this all sounds harsh, but I am sincerely worried for you, and think you need more education than we can provide here.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
