Which blender should I get?

Recommended Posts

I'm slowly preparing (no official surgery date) and I can't decide which blender to get. I'm leaning towards the nutribullet because it makes small quantities. Any suggestions?!?!?

I used an immersion blender to make Protein Shakes because it doesn't put any air into the shake -- no foam or bubbles. You can use it to make as much or as little as you want.

I went to target and got a small one similar to the nutribullet. It was obviously a lot cheaper and I don't use it often. I use premiere Protein because it has only 1 G sugar and 30 G protein in 11 oz. I love that I can just keep them in the fridge and grab and go.

I got the nutribullet 12- piece recently. It makes it a bit airy so I'm still trying to figure it out lol. I have been using my immersion blender for years though. I love it.

I use a Blender Bottle. Quick, no foam, can travel - no electricity needed. Works great.

They work great.

I have a Blender Bottle for when I'm traveling and the brand of blender I have at home is called Vitamix. It works great.

Great thanks. I'm going to get a Blender Bottle for on the go/work, but I want something bigger for at home. Something that will purée also. That's why I was looking at the nutribullet

I have a Blender Bottle and a Vitamix. The Vitamix is big, it does a good job but I would like something that make the small single serving drinks.< /p>

My daughter has a Bullet and she doesn't love it, not matter how hard she screws on the container it leaks (you know how you turn them upside down)

I have heard great things about the Ninja, I want a small one, I think.

I can see how the immersion blender would be good for making purees but I want to make my own smoothies with ice too. Whatever you get has to be powerful to crush ice.

Or do people just not do the ice or frozen fruit in a smoothie things after surgery?

I am trying to decide as well, I think it would be nice to have different things for different needs maybe???

I already had a vitamix that I LOVE. but it is more than you need for bariatric purposes - so if you don't need something that stout for other reasons I think the nutribullet is going to meet needs.

I want to buy a Vitamix but it's so prices here in England. I'm not good with bits. I can't even take orange juice bits so I want something that will really smooth out foods. I'm looking for recommendations.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
