When in puréed stage, did anyone use baby food or do u think it would have too much sugar. Also, I'm seeing different diets for many people. What week post surgery were you able to have more than just clear liquid and Protein shakes?

My nut specifically said no baby food. Not a good high Protein option and because need to find real foods that work to help transition to new way of eating.

To answer your last question, my sleeve instructions let me advance to full liquids after discharge from hospital.

Note to self: I don't have to take this day all at once but rather one step, one breath and one moment at a time. I am only one person.

Everyone's post-op plan is very different. It is critical that you stick to the one provided by your surgeon/nutritionist. If you have questions about what foods you can eat and when, I highly recommend referring to the instructions you were given and calling the office if something is unclear.

My nut/surgeon said stage 1-2 for baby food. I personally never used it. I puréed the meals I made for my family.

Did your surgeon/nut give you post op meal ideas or instructions? It amazes me how many do not.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
