Should I change physicians?

Recommended Posts

Planning on going to a popular surgeon in Atlanta Georgia, but lately, every time I call the office, they dont answer. Their answering service always picks up.

I hear he's great, but if I can't reach them, what's the point?

@@teedsg

have you met with office/dr yet??

are you a n official patient yet?

if you haven't done anything official yet with doc - i would look for another doc

not a good sign being unable to reach office

you might have a physical problem you have to talk about PO immediately

or any basic question, or possible problem in action

nutrition problems etc

they don't reach you - oh no

imo -not a good sign if they don't act quicker to a "cry for help" of a phone call

many good docs in the sea - and operating room  LOL

good luck

kathy

@@swimbikerun,

Yes, I've emailed them several times and they have responded. But, for the past 2 weeks, they haven't emailed me back or called. I am a patient , too.

@@proudgrammy,

Yes, I'm an official patient, and I went to my nutritional visits, and had my psych evaluation. Not sure what's going on.

I have questions and I can't get through to them. I do remember the lady who took my vitals looked to be pregnant, but still, they could've hired someone else who was on maternity leave. Not sure, what's going on.

At this point, yes I would dump them or start getting others to transfer it over to another place.

@@teedsg Well, it's August and most people are out of town this time of year. So it's possible that the physician or office staff are in vacation or semi-vacation mode. In NYC almost every doctor is out of town right now! And in my office (not medical) we are all just here 2 days this week before going on vacation through Labor Day. So it could just be that.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
