I'm so excited for you. I've been hoarding food in readiness including jelly packets, Soups etc. I start my pre op diet on the 7th October. I will be interested to see how you go with your surgery.

I was moved from the 4th to the 24th. I am sort of disappointed but could really use the extra 20 days to prep my house!

I am the 19th. I actually have to loose 7.5 lbs in a week. Before my preop appt. I knew this and just keep putting it off. I don't know why. I do so well on the preop diet and then I cook for my family and it's so good I eat some. Nothing bad but some. So I stop loosing. So all day I did great. Got all my Water in and Protein then made dinner for everyone and ... Ugh! Does anyone else have this struggle? Just frustrating.

I've just started my liquid diet today. My surgery date is October 5th. I am at my highest weight at 225. I am 59 years old.

Can’t stay like this much longer. I realize that I have to make some serious changes in my life. I’ve decided to write a sort of journal of my experience of going through this time in my life. I admit that I am somewhat scared and anxious but it is something that I want very much. I want to feel HEALTHY again.

Just had my first shake. Not so bad. Probably won’t say that after a few days of these drinks. I’m nervous and I don’t know why. I realize that I have to do this for 2 weeks. Will I succeed? I will really try my best. To come this far. I must push myself like I never have before.

I have all the co-morbidities that go with the weight gain such as high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes, joint, back pain and sleep apnea. Very dangerous combination.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
