I recently got my first fill in over 8 months. Well I can eat food with no problem, I have the restriction and feel full fast and am not eating too much. But, I can not drink any liquids especially cold ones with out having to make myself puke. I get horrible pains and pressure in my stomach especially around my port. Not sure if I am too tight or if something else is wrong. I plan on calling my Drs office on Monday, but until then, has anyone else had this problem?

Cold liquids go down hard in the morning when I take synthroid. I'll drink a cup of warm Water with it. Your band may be a tiny tad too tight. Until you speak with whomever, stick with warm liquids. Room temp may also be more comfortable.

I cannot drink while eating...I know some believe it because it washes food down...for me, it is because the food is sitting there passing through the band slowly, and if I add Water it increases the volume instantly and has nowhere to go but up and out.

BTW, this was a trick I used when I would get stuck...sip some Water.< /p>

Also to this day, I cannot gulp water down...sometimes I forget this especially while at the gym.

drinking while eating has never been an option for me. like B52 if I try that my food comes back up. I have to wait at least 20 minutes or more before I drink. I thought that would be a problem for me before my surgery but honestly it's just second nature now.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
