Severe abdominal pain after year and half

Recommended Posts

I have been in severe abdominal pain now for four hours. This is my second episode with this. I thought it was just severe gas and bloating at first, but have taken gas x and mylanta and tums. No relief. It seems to stem from left side under rib cage. Could this be an ulcer or something else. I keep praying for the pain to ease. Has anyone had this and what do I do or not do so this won't happen anymore. I plan to call dr in morning but was hoping for some advice tonight. Thanks

not 100% sure but it sounds like it could be a gall stone or kidney stone. But I would definitely see a doctor if pain meds are not working.

Are you able to keep things down? If not, perhaps your gallbladder.

Just wondering if you received a diagnosis... I'm in the same situation.

Do you still have your gallbladder? Sounds like gallbladder trouble.

Yes, had an ultrasound and found I have a very large kidney stone and a large polyp in my gall bladder. I see a specialist tomorrow and I am assuming removal of the gall bladder and some sort of procedure to remove the kidney stone. It has not been a fun month. Thanks for your concern.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
