Hi everyone. So I just made it home from my appointment. It was slightly over 2hrs. long. The surgeon, psychiatrist and the dietitian all remarked that I seemed very well informed.

My surgeon also said it was totally possible to have the surgery before school started, it all depends on my insurance (I totally called that one). He said within the week he would send me an email with a few things his team required. I would have to complete them then he would submit it to my insurance company

Also I do have to complete a sleep study and I didn't need a letter from my PCP they take care of that.

I am so excited the team was super super nice. Everyone seemed to completely get it.

I attended the information seminar on 2/11/16 and my surgery is scheduled for 6/30. I also work for the schools and wanted to do it during the summer. It just took 4 1/2 months to jump through all the hoops my doctor's office requires. I didn't have to do a supervised diet.

I asked my insurance to mail me the requirements for BS and luckily a supervised diet is not a requirement. I plan on going in being brutally honest and proving I'm committed to this life change and hopefully my appointments can be mad as close together as possible. June 8 I have an appointment with the surgeon, the nutritionist and I have the psychological evaluation. I have fingers and toes crossed. Thank you for taking the time to read and respond to my post

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
