August 23rd. Had to go through six month medically surprised weight program first and all the other hoops. I can't wait! Not looking forward to the two weeks prior. Can't imagine being on liquids for two weeks. Blegh.

August 30th surgery date in Charlotte, NC

I started this journey September 2015. I'm a fact finder by nature so I could not go into this until I understood it all. The research was part of it all. Now I'm ready.

I have my surgeon pre-op visit Aug 5 @ 0930 and then @1030 with the Anesthesia department. I'm getting all my questions together because I know Aug 10, I'll be in la la land.

Besides I get most of my answers on this forum. lol

I'm getting sleeved on the 9th.

Anyone have Instagram? I don't do the fb thing but use IG for weightloss stuff. "Joni.gets.sleeved" is my username.

Mine is August 19th. My insurance won't cover this so it seems to have been a very short time since I made the decision to have the surgery. I started the process last week of May. I'm not sure what else I have to do before the surgery. I have a three hour appointment on August 3 where I guess I'll be told all the details.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
