It will go down again! Probably tomorrow or the next day!

Here's my thought process- weight FLUCTUATES daily, and throughout the day. I only get on the scale VERY occasionally because of that. Instead, I'm watching my BMI and body fat percentage. My trainer at he gym as well as my doc and NUT all measure it, too. What have I seen?

Tomorrow I'm 7 weeks post op. My BMI has dropped from 48 to 37! Now THOSE are numbers I can embrace!!!!

Do any of your veterans know if there is any validity to the stalling when on mushy food phase?

Well, if your mushy phase is about three weeks post-op then it is right on schedule. The first stall isn't related to the food phase/texture but on your bodies need to replenish the glycogen in your liver, among other things.

Wow... It's amazing what our bodies go through. Understanding the process makes it much easier to get why certain things are going on. Really appreciate it Inner Surfer Girl.

Try weighing yourself once a month. Then it won't be so disappointing when you don't lose much some weeks.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
