Hi everyone,

I am 3 1/2 out and I am gaining weight. I had lost 180lbs with 20 to go but now I have gained 30lbs. Over the passed 2 years I have had two major surgery that have lifted me not able to excise or eat right. I don't have a nut anymore because he retired. Can someone please tell me how I can get back on track.

Congratulations your success so far.

Why not find another NUT since your original NUT retired? See if your surgeon can refer you to someone.

In the meantime, I would suggest you go back to basics.

Are you still: tracking your food; getting in all of your Protein and fluids; avoiding starches, added sugars, and fried foods; taking your Vitamins and supplements as directed; and exercising as you are able?

Why can't you eat right or exercise? What are your limitations?

I had brain and spine surgery. So I am relying on my family to take care of me.

How does having your family care for you keep you from eating healthy? Do they not know how to help you? Have you considered having your caregivers learn about your food plan and nutritional requirements? I bet your NUT would be glad to provide support in educating your family.

Have you tried physical therapy for exercise?

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
