Well, I had originally thought my surgery would be May 13th, but I have pushed it up to June 20th. I want to wait until school is out and I can focus on myself for the summer. That is something that I am dealing with, because I have never made myself a priority, Anyone else having a hard time with that? :-)

I just completed my pre op requirements today! Originally part of the insurance requirements was 10% weight loss, which I have worked hard to do over the last two months. Hit it on the head at the doctor"s office this morning. Then was told my insurance had changed it to 5%!! So now Ihave a cushion and can relax a little. My record is complete and will be submitted in the next few days. The wait for approval begins!

I am so giddy right now, just to have made it this far! Thank you for all your posts, and I hope to be scheduled in June!

That is the reason I scheduled my surgery for June. I wanted to be able to focus on myself and not be worried about my students.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
