Anyone from the Jacksonville, FL area?

Recommended Posts

I'm in the consultation phase. Having my surgery at mayo Clinic, but do not have a surgery date yet. I'm self pay, have Aetna insurance but my plan doesn't cover anything to do with weight loss. Because I am self pay, I'm on track for a June surgery date. Anyone else having their surgery in June?

Congrats on your great success glitter eyes. You look fabulous! I'm very excited about my new journey, and a little nervous too, which I am sure is normal.

Hi @Changed2016. Yes, my surgery is Monday, June 6th! I'm on day 8 of my 14 day pre-op Optifast diet. Dr. Ellie is doing my surgery. Since he is new to mayo, it's pretty easy to get in with him.

Hello everyone. My name is Dee and I had surgery on 4-29-15. I've lost 120. I still want to lose 60 more. It's not easy at all but if you have someone to talk to and exercise and eat right you can do it. I wish the best for everyone

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
