@@Queen of Crop Did you have muscle repair done too? Did you not have a drain in the beginning or did this happen after the drain came out?

Hi Elode....I was lucky not to have to have any muscle repair done...and I did have drains in for one week...3 days in the hospital and then I came home with them. But I guess it didn't drain enough...

@@Queen of Crop Are you getting around ok now? Does it still hurt? I took the whole month of April off and May as of now. If I feel good enough I may go back in May though. I make my own schedule so I have control over the amount of time I'm off. I'm just wondering how you function at 3 weeks.

@@Queen of Crop

I had a seroma. It should be just Fluid, not blood. The layers of your stomach that were peeled apart, didn't stick together correctly, so now your body thinks that it's injured and it's producing all of that extra Fluid to try to heal you, which your body doesn't realize isn't helping much. I had a seroma for about a month, it was annoying, it required a second drain be put in, and then multiple times being drained, and then finally my doctor filled the seroma with alcohol, which did the trick, dried it all up, and I was good within two weeks. The trick to healing the seroma quickly is to avoid twisting...you want those two layers to stick back together. I caused mine because I just had to walk miles and miles everyday too soon after surgery and the twisting of my torso resulted in a seroma. Wear your binder and your compression, and think of it this way....it has to heal and it probably isn't getting any worse, so you only have improvement to look forward to!

Yay! Congrats on surgery! Ok, so I swear this is not me trying to be rude, but are you sure on the 750? I was a 38DDD before surgery, I had a lot of breast tissue removed during my procedure because it was full of lumpy bits (not bad lumpy bits just annoying lumpy bits) and I got either 375 or 400ccs and my boobs are giant. You mentioned you have a small waist, which I also have, and I gotta say in hindsight I would have gone with smaller implants. Just the other day I saw a picture of me where if you see the full body image I look fabulous (ok so not very modest) but when you just see the top of me I look very thick and almost fat because my boobs are so out of proportion to my body. I ended being a 32DDD, which is virtually impossible to actually get in any size and cup-wise I fit into the 36DDD at Victoria Secret, although the band doesn't fit. I am seriously considering a revision where I drop down to a 300 purely because while I have always had big boobies, fake big boobies are a totally different thing than real big boobies. They look fantastic, I don't ever have to wear bras if I don't want to, but it really limits me in terms of some cute clothing, such as jackets, because my shoulders and waist are small and then my giant honkers are well, giant.

So...while size is a very personal thing, 750 seems enormous, just from my personal experience, so no judgement at all. Also, something to consider is that you already have bigger breasts, so you need to factor that size in as well. I made the mistake of imagining what I would like like with all those girls that had no boobs and got implants, however I am way bigger than them now with the same implant size just because I started out with more.

I am sure you will look fabulous, but that is my current size-related issue, so I thought I'd share.

@@Elode,

I don’t have any practical advice for you, but I do want to wish you luck and congratulate you on your upcoming procedures! I am so glad you have found a surgeon you like. What a nice NSV to be told by a doctor you can’t lose any more weight! You have worked so hard, and it has been a pleasure having you share every step of the way.

@@AvaFern We are doing to bigger implant because I don't have hardly any tissue left. I have deflated little bags! TMI but my nips are in a perfect location and are not sagging. Is the tissue around them. If I do a smaller implant I will have to have a lift and all the scars to tighten the skin around a smaller size. I'm trying to avoid doing that. I tried them on over the little bit of breast tissue I have and they looked amazing with my hip bones and smaller waistline. I guess I'm just use to big boobs because I've always had them and am built to carry them. I will be discussing it with her agian before surgery. I'm not a small framed person. I'd say medium. I have a larger rib cage. I wish I could just see them in my skin before hand but that's not possible :( I found some pictures of women my height and weight with the same size I'm getting and I like them. We shall see I suppose. I would insert a picture but I'm not sure if nudity is allowed?

@@Elode - did you try them on with a bra? If so what was the cup size? This is something you will want to know like the poster above, if you can even get a bra in that size.

@@FocusOnMeNow Yes I tried them on with a bra. It was a size 32 DDD which is what I was before....well I was a 40DDD-E . Here's a picture of 750cc... That may seem big to some but I think it's perfect!!! If I get that I will be thrilled!!! I will insert a picture of my breast before the weight loss maybe that will help. I'm on the right. Not the best picture but you can probably tell they were big and full! Plenty of cleavage without a push-up. I just want that curvy figure back.

Iʻm roughly 6 weeks post-op this morning and have begun to feel like a normal human, with a normal human body again. I started introducing solid foods and pill forms of medications/supplements a couple of weeks ago and it's really amazing to eat meals with my family again, despite the fact that my portions are so much smaller than theirs.
I live on the island of Oʻahu and spend a lot of time in the water- for exercise, for play,  and for spiritual & mental health. The day I had my month out appointment with my surgeon, I packed all my gear in my truck, anticipating his permission to get back in the ocean. The minute I walked out of that hospital I drove straight to the shore and got in that water. Hallelujah! My appointment was at 10 am. I didn't get home until after 5 pm.
I'm down 31 pounds since the day of surgery and 47 since my pre-op diet began, with that typical week long stall occurring at three weeks. I'm really starting to see some changes lately- some of my clothing is too big, some fits again. The most drastic changes I notice however are in my face. I've also noticed my endurance and flexibility increasing. I was really starting to be held up physically, and I'm so grateful that I'm seeing that turn around in such short order.
My general disposition lately is hopeful and motivated. The only thing that bugs me on a daily basis still is the way those supplements make my house smell. So stink! But I just bought a smell proof bag online that other people use to put their pot in. My house doesn't stink anymore.

Oh yeah, something I wanted to rant about, a billing dispute that cropped up 3 months ago.
Surgery was in August of 2023. A bill shows up for over $7,000 in January. WTF? I asks myself. I know that I jumped through all of the insurance hoops and verified this and triple checked that, as did the surgeon's office. All was set, and I paid all of the known costs before surgery.
A looong story short, is that an assistant surgeon that was in the process of accepting money from my insurance company touched me while I was under anesthesia. That is what the bill was for. But hey, guess what? Some federal legislation was enacted last year to help patients out when they cannot consent to being touched by someone out of their insurance network. These types of bills fall under something called, "surprise billing," and you don't have to put up with it.
      https://www.cms.gov/nosurprises
I had to make a lot of phone calls to both the surgeon's office and the insurance company and explain my rights and what the maximum out of pocket costs were that I could be liable for. Also had to remind them that it isn't my place to be taking care of all of this and that I was going to escalate things if they could not play nice with one another.
Quick ending is that I don't have to pay that $7,000+. Advocate, advocate, advocate for yourself no matter how long it takes and learn more about this law if you are ever hit with a surprise bill.

Thank you everyone for your well wishes! I totally forgot I wrote an update here... I'm one week post op today. I gained 15 lbs in water weight overnight because they had to give me tons of fluids to bring my BP up after surgery! I stayed one night in the hospital. Everything has been fine except I seem to have picked up a bug while I was there and I've been running a low grade fever, coughing, and a sore throat. So I've been hydrating well and sleeping a ton. So far the Covid tests are negative.
I haven't been able to advance my diet past purees. Everything I eat other than tofu makes me choke and feels like trying to swallow rocks. They warned me it would get worse before it gets better, so lets hope this is all normal. I have my follow up on Monday so we'll see. Living on shakes and soup again is not fun. I had enough of them the first time!! LOL
