You still haven't given an answer to how much Protein? How many fluids? Those really are the only numbers that matter right now. If it's less than 60-80g or less than 64oz (minimum!) then you need to work on those goals. Your priorities should be healing and being healthy, not starving yourself to see how fast you can lose.

I didn't WANT to eat or drink for nearly 4 months, it was an unwelcome chore. But I MADE myself do it because that's the only way to stay healthy. I was meeting goals by 5 days out and never stopped. And yes, I gained pounds occasionally and I stalled, just like you are going to. but eventually I lost over 100% of my excess weight. Just be patient and don't worry about what the scale says right now.

Are you reaching your protein target every day?

Your correct, that was the answer to the question

Im doing everything the doctor has told me an I just noticed my weight is going back to where it started again! I walk every day for hours, I do dance central, I use my stairs so why am I gaining

I am so sorry you aren't getting the results you want.

Without more specifics and information about what you are doing it is hard to offer suggestions.

How far out are you after surgery?

What is your Protein target?

Are you tracking, weighing, and measuring your food?

Are you reaching your Protein target every day?

Are you getting at least 64 oz of Fluid?

Are you avoiding starches and added sugar?

Are you taking your Vitamins and supplements as instructed?

Let us know what doing everything your doctor told you means and hopefully we can offer some ideas.

Surgery done on Feb 8. And I do everything from portions to avoiding to all my Proteins and Vitamins, I'm in the mushy stage an I can't eat because I'm not even hungry just thirsty
I went back to reread your response.

You HAVE to eat, even if you don't feel hungry.

You HAVE to get in enough protein and Fluid so you can heal.

Losing weight will happen, but is a secondary goal right now to getting enough nutrition so you can heal from surgery and function.

That's the thing I don't want to force myself to eat if I'm not hungry

Protein is a must for anyone undergoing any surgery. I'm 5 weeks out and am slowly losing, I too have had gains but I've upped my calories and saw a loss. I'm pushing to get to 1000 cals a day now.

So that means I have to intake more calories since I'm not getting enough

Sounds to me like your body is desperately trying to hold onto any form of sustainable energy possible because it's starving. Slow your roll on the excersise and force some Protein and calories down. 200 calories and constant exercise is not the way to do this. Just worry about getting fluids and protein down to heal up and then start an excersise regimen. Right now just normal moving around will burn calories with as little as you're eating.

Ok will do, I just don't want to force myself because I'm scared I may stretch my sleeve

Are you reaching your protein target every day?

Your correct, that was the answer to the question

So, what is your protein target?

How much protein are you eating every day?

The answer I am looking for would have very specific numbers.

My answer is: my protein target is 100 grams a day. I get at least 100 grams every day.

I'm in my third week too, and it's hard to get a lot in I agree, but your stomach has been through a trauma, it's hunger signals can't be trusted right now. It's not going to tell you when it needs food. I'm currently eating 5 times a day, maybe 70g Protein for three of them, and then two Protein shakes. The first day I was on mush I could only manage 40g. When you've eaten enough you'll feel it just behind your chest, don't push it after that. Protein Shakes will not stretch your sleeve.

Be sensible, you can't possibly expect the right results if you're not following your program, anymore than you could expect pills to cure a sickness if you weren't taking them.

At least 100 or 200, but I can only intake about 60 grams or 70

So that means I just have to keep pushing to get enough protein since I don't get enough

No.

You're not going to stretch your sleeve.

Really.

I promise.

Remember, force more Protein, not force more food in your stomach. Add shakes through the day, or Protein powder to meals.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
