Congrats on this achievement.

I was a long time smoker, too. Quitting was hard. Crazy hard.

Making the changes to support wls were much easier, imho.

Congrats on that huge accomplishment! I have been smoke-free for over 1 1/2 years and it will get easier and so worth the struggle to get WLS. I was actually in the middle of quitting smoking when my husband became so ill he was in ICU for 3 weeks and they didn't think he would make it. God must have been with us through this crisis! I think I was so focus on him ( didn't leave the hospital) that I didn't have time to think about anything else. You be very proud of yourself!

Quit smoking close to 2 years ago after being a 40 year smoker. I quit with the use of an electronic cigarette. I stopped vaping almost 6 months ago now. I found using the e-cig a much easier way to quit and stay quit from nicotine and cigarettes themselves.

Pat yourself on the back! You will not regret quitting. It can be trying in the beginning, but the end result is so worth it.

Congrats on quitting. It's hard!!! I finally quit 6 years ago and I still think about it but not the type of thinking about it where I might actually smoke again. It's really weird. But it's the best thing. Once I quit, my acid reflux went away, I breathe better, my cough is gone. Those are then reasons I can stay away. And you are quitting at the best time--around surgery! That will be the best for you (in my opinion).

Good job.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
