why would you change your diet on any day? your trying to lose not to gain correct?

Heres a hint dont try to gain weight until youve lost the weight. Just a tip.

Same diet as every other day!

Only time I change t up is when I run for more than 6 miles (an hour or so) and then I add about 100 calories per every extra 2-3 miles/30 mins.

On weight training days, increase your protein a touch (5-10) grams. Make sure you stay really hydrated.

I toss in an extra protein shake (25g) within an hour of an intense workout.

So you dont have to worry about all the pre work out post workout stuff? Just follow your normal diet with a bit more protein?

You certainly can focus of nutrients pre and post. Applesauce with a protein (cottage cheese) is a great pre-cardio food.

Personally, I eat protein within 20 minutes of stopping my workouts. Does not have to be a lot.

Should I weight train yet? or wait until goal weight?

And do just cardio for now?

Once you have your doctor's permission that you are no longer restricted on the weight amount you can lift - start weight lifting!! It increases your metabolism & as a result your % of fat loss! I joined a gym and at my 30 day follow up I'd had 3% fat loss - BMI. I read the average is only 1%. My trainer said it's strictly due to my weightlifting!

And I do both cardio AND weightlifting!
