sir, well april is going to be a bit early for you this year. you have to use the honeymoon period to its fullest. you can drink beer, but to do so this soon, is wayy too soon. Can you drink beer eventually? sure. as long as you counter it with exercise. I actually work as a brewer for s commercial brewery and I am heavily involved in the beer culture and scene. You can do it. you just have to be smart about it.
  3. Welcome to the guys room Diane, you know, the one, for guys.
  4. Yup skin doesn' tighten like that regardless of age , or gym work the body doesn' cannialize skin cells.

  6. Thrift shopping enabled me to buy whole new wardrobes multiple times and now I have a wardrobe I'd have killed for before, Versace, lucky, Armani, givenchy, Gucci never paid more than 10 bucks for them, my jeans collection is the envy of those who know me, try it, you'll love it. As to not wanting to eat, that's fine , just don't then, eat when you get hungry not when the click says to, this surgery is also to stop hunger, so use this time to it's fullest
  7. For me it was on my family was only not fighting when they were at the dinner table so basically the only time they weren't arguing was when they were eating and as result I created that quiet happiness , to eating.and just grew and grew from there. ALso my father of hoarded food especially sweets, used to keep them hidden in places all around the house where us kids couldn't get to them . and that was a big thing that made you always want the hidden treasure of food. That and I came From a large extended Italian family, and the good times were always getting together with family and it was always about tons of food. Separating food from happiness is a battle in itself.
  8. Check out my blog below to see most of my tips and tricks etc it's light reading and I think it helps, ask all the questions you can .
  9. personally i use the vitfusion mutivites gummies and a gummy sugar free fiber by them as well. and calcium chewables that taste like caramel, big bag from vitamin shoppe, no worries at all.
  10. the patches dont work. they dont deliver enough
  11. you can do a lot better than 200 sir, trust me. Youve got it in you. at 5'9 i started at 408 and made it down to 170 in 368 days. while you cant afford to lose that much weight. you sure can lose a lot more than the additional 40 pounds. Try to set a bigger goal. at 200 pounds and 5'10 you'd still have a BMI that makes you clinically obese. You can do this. its a lifestyle change, not a diet. Keep up on the forums ask a lot of questions and dont blow your honeymoon period on wasted calories. The gym is your friend, it always will be, and so is your sleeve. You can do this!
  12. You are correct though. 100%. It took a few therapy sessions for me to realize, my parents who fought like dogs and cats and my family in general did, were only quiet and happy when we were eating. As A result i equated food with happiness, and well you get the picture. Coming to terms with that has big the biggest part of my journey. Good luck, you can do this.
  13. Well, not exactly what you wanted but since I had my surgery and lost the weight, I've been promoted 3 times, and now head up my department. So in a way Yes, this enabled me to do that. SO it has enabled me to be a lot better at what i do, and Others dont judge me the same. I think there is often a subconscious reaction to the " fat guy or gal" that people do treat you differently. If not openly different then subconsciously for sure. When you lose the weight etc, people see that as a sign of responsibility and change, and as a result, things happen.
  14. $$

yeah here in massachusetts i paid between 6 and 8 grand after the 80% but ive seen costs anywhere from 15 to 40 depending on where in the US you are having it done.
  15. sexually its night and day, had a great sex life before, but its like putting a twin turbo on your fun bits afterward. not only did i go from 5 inches to a nice 8.5 after, you can now , do more with what you have as well. Now sure there are skin issues for not looking so great in the nude, but i was prepared for that. and yes the stamina etc is so much better now. i keep my wife worn out thanks to the uptick in sexual appetite. And i do echo the others sentiments on how people treat you. its also night and day, i always had great friends to help me and etc but everyone will treat you different, most of it is completely subconsciously, but it is a big difference. had my surgery hit my goal weight a year later and int he months that followed, I received 3 promotions 2 bonuses and now i lead my team of people and I am the " go to guy" people see you as now being responsible and capable when you lose, but the fat guy, not so much. kind of sucks but it is true.
  16. 241 pounds 368 days , but the point is that it is completely different in each person, literally some do it faster some slower, its a quirk you can go by or judge, you can only do you.
  17. Okay, just for the sake of it. You cant gain weight by eating too few calories. Thats simply not a possibility. Also, contrary to urban myth, your sleeve can not be stretched out. it has a finite space to it that takes months to adjust to after your surgery which is why people seem to think it is capable of being stretched. The Fundus, which is the only part of your stomach to be elastic like, is removed fully in your surgery. That being said its good to see you back on track and taking charge of yourself.
  18. anyone and everyone. Sharing helps, it also takes a lot of support to really pull this off , so i got help from all my friends family and co workers. I love that.
  19. unfortunately, The video evidently is gone as i think the video section here was removed. and i dont have a copy of the video anymore. But let me explain. You have to use a protein powder that had egg albumin in it. We recommend , and I use Syntrax Matrix protein powders. The cookies and creme is the best. its a great base and you can mix with strawberry, chocolate, vanilla, banana if you like, version. But anyway its one scoop of protein powder ( although im in post weight loss, maintenance mode now so i do two scoops. And about 1/2 a teaspoon of baking powder, mix that up. then I add Coffee mate sugar free italian sweet creme , creamer, but you can use almond milk ot 1% milk if you wish, they all work fine. Add enough liquid to make like a real thick cake batter, like between a cookie batter and a brownie batter. then microwave this for 45 to 50 seconds depending on how you like it, then remove and be careful it can be ho! but top with a squirt of sugar free syrup or any fruit you like, if you do that, etc and bingo. its not exactly a cake, it s like a cross between a cake and a bread pudding consistency. but people love it, Myself included and i literally have one every morning for breakfast as I think breakfast is the hardest meal to eat well. you can experiment with it, but i think you'll really like it. and its easy on the sleeve , for sure. It helps with those old cravings of having donuts or danish or pancakes for breakfast. Heres alink tot he store here for it, remember the protein powder has to have egg albumin in it to rise, otherwise it will be a brick lol https://store.bariatricpal.com/products/syntrax-matrix-sustained-release-protein-powder-9-flavors-3-sizes
  20. theres a video i made here for it, lemme get it for you. I make them at work, all you need is a refrigerator for your creamer and a microwave.
  21. have you tried the protein mugcake? i have one every morning with some sgar free syrup on top. to make it more breakfasty
  22. I basically now use boxer briefs now not super long legged. But athletic types light compression. They definitely help.
  23. Age is pretty much the biggest factor with skin sagging, the young bounce back better, i went from 408 to 170 at age 44 sag is bad, but no way ill ever afgord surgery so, oh well im still happy as shit
  24. BCBS from what state bcbs of tx for example is 6 months of prior documented treatment. or at least was almost 2 years ago
  25. WOuld you buy Protein Crap in a Can? nope. well there ya go. That being said there are many protein mixes that taste like what they say they do, to a point. And many of us, have come to really enjoy our protein powders. I literally have a protein mugcake for Breakfast 6 out of every 7 days a week, I look forward to it, I really like the taste.
