Hi there

I had my band fitted on 31st March. I also suffered with pain around my port but it is normal. My surgeon warned me about it. For quite a few weeks it hurt when i got up as well. This is because it is stitched to the muscle. It does get better but it takes a while. I only feel it now when I press it! don't worry it's fine x Karin x

MissMolly,

I am doing 100% better and I'm just 2 weeks post-op. It took me an entire 2 weeks to feel better and now I believe I can actually make it back to work! Honestly, at first, I thought I made the biggest mistake of my life and I just wanted to reach inside of me and rip the band right out! But, now, I have healed quite a bit, got over my complications(mainly fever), have an appetite and lost a total of 23 pounds to date. I still feel a little pain at port site now and then, but I am able to sleep on either side and the pain is really minimal. Everything does improve, but everyones situation is different. I am beginning to really like my band-haven't gotten to the point of loving it, but I know that will soon come.

Good luck to you and remember-you will heal and you are making a great decision! :bounce:

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
