Pre op liquid diet day three Lord help me I'd trade my pinky finger for food!

Recommended Posts

Mine and most do it to shrink the liver to aid in the process of lifting the liver during the surgery to get to the stomach better. I know from past health issues I have a fatty liver so as much as I complain I'm glad to be doing this, it's my detox. That being said each surgeon is different some don't see a difference in the time on the liquid diet, some do. I know the day before surgery I go from liquids to just Clear Liquids and then have to do my bowel prep. Which is the cherry on this hell cupcake! Ha ha ha

Not the pinky! It's a very underrated appendage. ????

Hang in there! You can do this!

Hang in there! It's hard but after surgery the same thing is necessary for safety - do this well and you'll know you can do that. Hang in!!!

I was the same way. Cried a lot because I was so hungry. But i stuck to it and my surgeon told me after my sleeve (Jan 13) that he could really tell that I didn't cheat and that it made everything so much easier for him. So that made it worth it.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
