Finally hit Onderland! Very slow weight loss!

Recommended Posts

Hey all! So happy I finally hit Onderland! A little concerned though on the slowness of my progress. I had surgery 3 weeks ago and I've only lost 15 pounds. Still having trouble getting all the Protein and Water in but Doing much better than I was before. For almost a week the scale did not budge! How do I get that scale moving!! Any and all advice is appreciated! HW 245. SW 215 Cw 199

You've got the painting upside down. Turn it right side up and you'll see that losing weight is weight loss. Keep doing what you're supposed to do and it will all come together. Enjoy the fabulous trip you've been having. Never minimize a gift.

I had surgery on December 29th. My weight was 223. I'm 214 as of this morning. I'm freaking out, I tried for like 6 months- hard core diet - and I was able to lose like 14 pounds in that time. The fact that almost ten has slipped off in 2 weeks is AMAZING. There's no way I'll be over 200 for long now. You should be celebrating your 15 pound victory girl!! 15 freaking pounds is like 6 months of weight watchers/gym work. Lol!! Congratulations!!!!! You already know what to do... Get that water/protein in. We're not well enough yet to hit the gym. Walk if you can, but don't be upset by your "slow weight loss" you're doing amazing...

If you think that's slow, you're in for a rude awakening. Your weight loss is going to slow down even more after your stall is over. And yes, the stall will pass. It's normal and happens to everyone at around the same time after surgery, and there's nothing you really can do to hurry it along but ride it out. Just stay hydrated and make sure you're getting your Protein.

Try to keep your expectations about your weight loss realistc. You've done very well considering you started as a relative 'light weight'. I lost the same amount at 3 weeks out and I was heavier than you.

My stats are very similar: sleeved on 12/14 with a surgery weight of 214. Weighed in at 194 of 12/24 and haven't lost since. Yes, a stall of sixteen days and counting. I'm being really patient but I admit I keep checking here to see if this is really going to keep going for much longer. I just keep thinking (hoping) it's giving my skin time to shrink.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
