All I have left is the EGD and 2nd Nutritionist appt. Hopefully I will get a surgery date soon. My insurance only requires 2 week pre op liquid diet. Kind of nervous as this is a revision from a gastroplasty from back in the early 90s.

I would say be prepared for the emotional changes. I just started my journey toward the gastric, and already I'm noticing things I never did. It's good, but challenging.

Good luck!

My consult was 1/21 I completed my Nutrition Class 2/18 and I'm waiting for my Psych Evaluation right now.. I have to do 6 months of supervised weight loss program through the Bariatric center. I'm trying to remain positive about the time. Hey I'm already 1 month and 2 days in. :)

I just had my last weigh in for my insurance #6! Good luck! My advice is follow the diet they give you and move as much as you can. Every little but helps. Every pound lost is a pound in the right direction! I have had my appt. with the nutritionist now I have my physiological appt, an appt with my regular Dr to sign off and then 1 last pre surgery consult with surgeon. And surgery scheduled on March 17th! So plan on 7 months.

Hi I'm due for surgery on Friday and I'm worried I have t shrunk my liver enough does anyone know what will happen if I get to hospital and it's not shrunk enough ?

Absolutly nothing, the only thing that could happen is that the op lasts 30 mins longer so dont worry

I am a couple months into it as well. things left to do, Pulmonary clearance, cardiac clearance, psychology clearance however I have appointments for all in March really hoping to have

surgery in early may.

I had my consult yesterday and we agreed on the sleeve. My surgery will be in June. I've already done my psych eval, my gynecologist faxed over my most recent physical results, and I've been to one class. I still have to go to a support group meeting and my pre-op class and nutrition appointment is on March 22nd. They asked me some questions at my consult that ruled out any pulmonary, cardiac or sleep studies so I was glad for that.

I just had my info session this past Monday....have my consult with the surgeon this coming Monday. I'm really nervous and I hope it's normal to feel this way. I kind of can't believe I'm actually going through with this!

My surgery is scheduled for June 1. Too soon for me to be nervous. I'm good at delaying that kinda of thing til the moment of. Doing the supervised Diet and endoscopy scheduled for March 18. Lost 20 lbs since Jan 7. Woohoo.

Hello all . This is my first post. I'm in Ontario so our process is a bit different but I am at the beginning. I have had my consultation/orientation. Have received initial medical clearance as low risk. Have dietician and psych Mar 10 and sleep test on Monday. I am ever so grateful for this win/win.

Looking to live life again

I just started the process in Jan. I had my initial consult, general dietician meeting, liver ultrasound, labs, and Dr follow up visit to review my labs. I have a 6 month supervised weight management process with the dietician. My first visit is today which means my 6 months start today. I have my psych eval on Monday and my EGD on Tuesday. Hope to have surgery in Aug or Sept. I am going through the process in Ohio but have to fly to South Carolina for the surgery because of my insurance.

Hi. My insurance company requires me to be monitored for 6 months as well. I am 3 months into the process. I would appreciate any help/advice. Best of luck to you!

I had my insurance appt last week, and my seminar today. I have the physical with the dr on 3/22. Already had blood work up completed (3/1), and gave my PCP the template for the letter he needs to write to my surgeon. For as long as I've been on WW, and just dieting in general for all of these years, you'd think I wouldn't be quite as overwhelmed as I'm feeling currently. That said, I still have many months to go before I even need to worry about surgery. One day at a time...
