I dropped in steps, had lots of plateaus. You'll get through it, just keep working your plan. It's very normal :-)

yup! they suck alright. But, this is not a race, it's a marathon. Just keep at it. We all get stuck, and we all have to do something to make that scale move again. change up the routine, or the diet and the scale will move again. I have yet to achieve my goal, by following the rules. So, I just keep at it. Stay positive...don't quit or give up. We took drastic steps to lose it, so just be patient.

@@chickenmommy25 Yes, they are very frustrating. Unfortunately they are part of the process. I'm 3 1/2 months out and have now experienced three of them. Each time I just stayed on my program and the weight loss picked back up when my body was ready.

A stall is a good opportunity for us to re-evaluate our routine to make sure we are still doing what we are supposed to. I know this last time I had let a few slider type foods and Snacks slip into my routine. The stall forced me to look at my nutrition and realize that I was not completely following my plan.

It's all in how you look at them.

Stalls or plateaus are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the weight loss process. If you intend to lose a lot of weight you will stall periodically throughout your journey.

The alternative is to go back to old, pre-op yo-yo dieting behavior.

Embrace the Stall!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
