The difference in a year...

Recommended Posts

Exactly one year ago, I was at my heaviest weight. I have no idea why no one ever told me I was that huge, but I don't think I even saw it myself. While I'm embarrassed to post this, I've never been prouder of myself. I began taking my health seriously in June and have lost 90 pounds since the photo on the left. I'm not yet at my goal but being able to compare two photos taken on the same day, just a year apart, gives me the motivation to keep going. Looking forward to what 2016 has in store :)

I was sleeved June 15th 2015. The photo on the left is Dec 30th 2014 and the right is Dec 30th 2015. I still have a long way to go but I have never been happier nor have I ever been healthier. I have so much more will power to eat better and exercise more. I even enjoy exercising! If you told me I would enjoy that last year, I'd look at you like you were crazy. Unfortunately, I don't see much of a difference from these 2 photos. I'm experiencing a severe case of body dysmorphia where I still see the 288 pound girl but I know it will get better with time. 1zz0gz.jpg

I'm glad you mentioned the whole body dysmorphia thing because I to have been going through that. I use to buy 2xl shirts and pants because I prefer my clothes baggy and purchased a xl the other day that kept falling off of me. The only way I can tell that I've lost weight is by how my clothes fit.

You look great!! Best of luck to you and your journey.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
