So, there are a couple of pairs of shoes I was wanting for Christmas but now i am wondering if your foot also gets smaller after you get your sleeve. right now, thankfully my feet and wrists are about the only thing on me that isn't really fat so i was curious what others have gone through. I do not currently wear a wide and that is usually what i hear of changing but what are peoples experience with shoe size changing? hope that makes sense. its late and I am exhausted! ;)

Although I haven't gotten my sleeve yet I have tried almost every diet there is out there. I've lost a ton of weight only to gain it all back time and time again. To answer your question, I've been able to shed some pounds and drop down between 1/2 to 1 shoe size depending on the shoe itself. I would assume it would be no different with the sleeve. Don't forget your feet will slim down as well as you lose weight but everyone is different .. Hope this helps :) xo

My feet have shrunk a whole shoe size. My work heels no longer fit. I will have to get a new shoe wardrobe in the very near future.

When I lose a ton of weight, my feet did shrink. Think of it this way: not only do you lose Pudge from your piggies, you are pushing down on your dogs less when you shed 100 pounds.

I haven't lost any length wise - still size 11, but I no longer need a wide width

Like others have said, when I've lost weight in the past, I usually lost a shoe size as well. So I'd expect no different losing weight this time. If they're not so expensive shoes, then I say go ahead and get it. If they are super expensive keep them for years shoes, then I'd wait to be closer to goal weight to see what the feet are going to do.

thanks everyone for the replies! i still don't know what to do so i have just decided to wait. i have gotten to the point where i am trying not to buy anything new and i even asked for some stuff i will need after the sleeve for christmas! i figure it is better to not waste the money now if they do go down in size, even though that really sucks! :)

What? Nooooo. :(

I'm no where close to surgery yet but the thought of giving up my much loved shoes (over 200 pairs) makes me nauseous. I do want to lose weight, but the shoes too? :(

I had to donate ALL of my shoes. I was quite sad. But then I got all new ones and now I'm happy because I have a pair of knee-high boots for the first time in my life. It was worth it.

BTW, I went from a 9.5 (heels)/10 (boots) to 8 (heels)/8.5 (boots).

I'm not sure how much my feet have shrunk, but they don't feel as wide or my toes as pudgy. I doubt they've shrunk lengthwise though. Still a size 10.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
