I have been in a 2 week stall. And after surgery i have only lost 14 pounds which include the 5 lbs i gained at the hospital. I am starting to feel discouraged but alot of people stated that we jusy have to wait this out. I had surgery Nov 9. I guess we will get there if we stick to the surgeons plan.

Answer: It depends. (anyone who tells you otherwise is lying)

It all depends on your level of activity, total caloric intake, Protein intake, hydration level, individual metabolism, and frankly, a whole lot of "I'm your body and I'll lose more when I damn well please."

Don't get discouraged. The 3 week stall is a rite of passage. You're one of us now.

It takes as long as it takes. Mine lasted almost 2 weeks.

Mine didn't last long. To break my stall I started eating ice cream every day. Yes, I really did this. Now you may ask... how is this possible? I wasn't taking in enough calories to lose more weight, so I had to speed up my metabolism to help in this. I stopped eating ice cream daily after I lost another 25 lbs.

It lasts as long as you keep stepping on the scale. Put the scale away for a month and I guarantee the stall will be over. No Scale = No Stall. It really is that simple and that easy.

And, BTW, there is an entire sub forum dedicated to this topic. You can spend that month reading hundreds of posts about stalls. Everyone has them and they all end in their own time.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
